Who We Are
Welcome to St. Rocco’s Dalmatians, owned and operated by us, Sean and Jessica Rugg, in Conroe, Texas. We ensure that we breed our pups ethically and we raise all puppies in our home until they’re ready to go to their new home at 8 weeks old.
Our female, Bubbles, is a joy and brings us much entertainment with her goofy personality. We hope to bring each family the opportunity to enjoy the many wonderful things about the Dalmatian breed, and we are here to help!
We have chosen St. Rocco as the patron of our business because he is the patron saint of dogs. Please read more about him in the “about St. Rocco” section.

Our Dalmatian Puppies
Adorable Spots
No doubt, one of the most unique things about dalmatians is their spots! Each one is unique, just like each human has their own fingerprints.
Charming Personalities
Our dalmatians will certainly have their own personalities. Keep an eye out on our social media for our descriptions as they get older so you can choose the best pup for your family!
Warm and Affectionate
We know the affection of a dal... most mornings, Bubbles likes to snuggle up to Jessica while she drinks her coffee and has her prayer time. It's truly a great part of the day, and we hope all of our families enjoy a similar relationship with their pup.
Playful Spirits
The zoomies are real with this breed. Running around the yard fueled by random bursts of energy is a favorite past time for our dal, and it's so fun to see!
Loyal Companions
Dalmatians are a loyal breed, giving their owners/families much affection, and forming strong bonds with their humans.
Family Favorites
Explore our Dalmatian puppies that will quickly become your family's favorite furry members!
About St. Rocco
Dogs have been known as “man’s best friend” for centuries, and even many saints were aided by dogs when they were in need.
For example, there is a popular story from the life of St. Roch (aka, St. Rocco) that has since earned him the title of “patron saint of dogs.”
In the 14th century, St. Roch devoted himself to helping the sick who were suffering from the plague. He visited many Italian towns and eventually contracted the same disease that he was battling.
Afraid that he would infect others, St. Roch isolated himself from by going into a self-quarantine in the forest. There he was slowly dying, but God provided for him by sending him a dog.
This dog would lick his sores and bring him bread each day that he took from his master’s table. This is why St. Roch is often depicted in paintings with a dog (often with bread in their mouth, like our logo).
After a certain time had passed, St. Roch was healed of his ailments and then continued his ministry of curing the sick.
For dog lovers, St. Roch is a worthy intercessor, who can watch over and protect your beloved pet.

Ethical Breeding
If you have looked for a family pet before, you may have seen this term. But, what does it mean for us?

Our female is:
*AKC registered
*LUA (heterozygous): Bubbles carries one gene for low uric acid and one for high uric acid, but my intention is to breed her with males who carry both genes for low uric acid, producing only LUA pups. See the blog for more info on LUA vs. HUA.
*BAER hearing tested and cleared- she can hear out of both ears very well- listening is another story!
*PENN Hip tested- we have ensured that hip dysplasia is not present in Bubbles (pending)
*Her parents are also tested by the breeder we purchased her from.

Additionally, we have a policy of taking back into our home any puppies that don't work out with their family. The last thing we want is for our pups to be taken to a shelter if a family find they aren't able to care for him/her. Please, always let us know and we will work with you to find the best solution!
